Greetings!
I am Austin Higgins. I am currently a term into my Junior year of college through Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College. I am proud to announce that after this term, I will no longer have any credits available to take at Linn-Benton Community college as I edge closer to my ultimate goal of graduating from Oregon State University with a major in Business Administration. I enrolled in Marketing 223 with the soul purpose of getting a better understanding of the aspects of a marketing strategy. Since Marketing is extremely important to all businesses, I hope to learn valuable skills that will help aid my success in future ventures. I personally find the link between marketing, and international business to be the most beneficial subject to my future endeavors. I am currently deciding which route I would like to explore as far as declaring for a minor. International Business is an avenue that has grasped my undivided attention. The link between marketing and international business involves the study of different cultures, tariffs, and economics just to name a few.
Outside of the college atmosphere, I am a type 1 diabetic with a service dog named Denver. Our favorite activity is to go disc golfing. He is an above average sized golden retriever that enjoys to fetch discs in his spare time (in-between naps of course). I enjoy reading classic novels. Ernest Hemingway is my favorite author, and he is an individual that I have looked up to all of my life. Lastly, I enjoy to complete difficult weight training workouts at least six times a day. Attempting a completely healthy lifestyle has been a challenge, but the most rewarding aspect of my life.
